LKC FES students won awards at IEEE Malaysia FYP Competition

The IEEE Malaysia Final Year Project (FYP) Competition was once again organised by IEEE Malaysia this year. The award ceremony was held at Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre on 12 October 2019. Six students from UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science won several awards at the competition. UTAR also emerged as the university with the largest submission at 17% of the total.

There were 19 sponsored tracks altogether with a total of 384 submissions. Each sponsored track was backed by a Malaysian IEEE technical chapter. The technical chapters facilitated the evaluation process and determined the winner for each track.

The annual competition saw the participation of both public and private universities. The universities include Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Multimedia University, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Monash University Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Curtin University Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, etc.
