Assistant Professor Pek Hoo Chun, Director of Centre for Foundation Studies Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman Perak Campus, was conferred the title Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (A.M.P) by the Sultan of Perak Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Yusuff Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullah on His Royal Highness's 84th Birthday in recognition of his contributions to the society and community.
The investiture ceremony was held at Balairong Seri, Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar on 9 June 2012.
