“Compared to last year’s tournament, our medal count has decreased from three gold medals because of stronger opponents. Nevertheless, it was a good platform for our athletes as this competition has helped them gain quite a bit of experience and exposure to a high standard tournament,” said Department of Student Affairs (Sungai Long Campus) Sports and Recreation Unit’s Ganavenoth Karunakaran.

Over 15 private universities and colleges took part in this competition. The Nottingham Ultimate Taekwondo Showdown (NUTS) 2017 was organised by the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.
