The examination aimed to recognise future nurses who had completed their studies. Students who have passed the examination may start practising in any government or private hospitals in Malaysia and overseas.

Sharing her joy, Chung said, “My hard work has finally paid off. The revision classes conducted for two weeks by the Department of Nursing lecturers were very helpful. It guided me to answer the questions with the application of critical analysis.” She added, “I am really glad to have received the grade ‘Cemerlang’ in the Nursing Board Examination for the year 2018. I did not expect it but the effort and time I put into my studies have paid off finally. As an encouragement to those who are currently pursuing or wish to pursue nursing programme at UTAR, I am very sure you can do it, because I did it!”

She continued, “Basically my strategy for tests or exam preparation is to pre-read my lecture notes before class and do revision during the weekends. In this way, I don’t have to burn the midnight oil or cram everything up when the exam is around the corner. The other thing that I usually do is condensing large lecture notes into shorter ones. I also make connections as I write. This really works for me. Apart from that, finding a buddy to study along can also be helpful. In that case, my coursemates were really supportive.” Chung is currently working in a private hospital. She intends to pursue higher education after gaining some working experience.
