Cultivating research ideas through FYPC

The Faculty of Business and Finance (FBF) organised a Final Year Project Conference (FYPC) on 12 April 2019 at UTAR Kampar Campus. Present at the conference were FBF Dean Dr Au Yong Hui Nee, academics, staff and students. 

The one-day research conference aimed to provide a platform for the undergraduates to present their final year projects to the public. Besides, the conference also served as an opportunity for them to share their research ideas and findings. 

Fourteen best final year projects were nominated from each undergraduate programme to participate in the conference. The 14 groups presented their research ideas to a panel of judges as well as the audience. The assessment criteria were evaluated based on the quality of the research presentation and also the poster designs. 

The list of winners for FYPC January Trimester 2019 is as follows:

2nd Runner-up

Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Entrepreneurship

Project title: defAIR Bird Repellent

Team members: Leong Jun Jie, Ho Khai Yong, Tan Ti Hui and Leong Zhe Rui 

Each participant received a certificate of participation while the winning teams were awarded certificates of excellence. 

In addition, the winning FYP posters were also displayed at FBF’s Faculty Research Corner. To further promote research interests among the winners and encourage academic exposure, the winning teams were also sponsored to attend the upcoming International Conference on Business, Accounting, Finance, and Economics (BAFE) which will be organised on 5 October 2019. 

The FYPC 2019 was mainly sponsored by Kawaguchi Manufacturing Sdn Bhd.
