UTAR receives Bronze for MEF Employer Excellence Award

UTAR’s excellent management was recognised when it received the Bronze Award at the MEF Employer Excellence Awards. The inaugural award by Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) saw UTAR along with 13 other companies winning awards for three different categories namely Gold, Silver and Bronze. UTAR was the only university to receive this award. Receiving the award on behalf of UTAR were DHR Director Marchie Lim Pin Sim and Manager We Chin Yong.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with MEF 60th Annual Dinner 2019 on 8 October 2019. Present during the event were Minister of Human Resources YB Tuan M. Kula Segaran, Deputy Human Resources Minister YB Dato’ Hj Mahfuz Omar, MEF President Tan Sri Azman Shah Haron, and MTUC President Dato’ Abdul Halim Mansor. Also present to witness the anniversary celebration was International Labour Organisation (ILO) Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Tomoko Nishimoto.

Prior to the award, a thorough audit on Division of Human Resources practices and policies were conducted by MEF.
