Ten UTAR students and four UTAR staff won prizes at SAGE Journals 2020 Online Quiz Competition. The online quiz was organised by SAGE Publishing from 10 August 2020 until 18 September 2020 via an online platform. Each participant was given five questions to answer to win the prizes.

The grand prize was won by UTAR Foundation in Arts student Liew Chung Zhen. He walked away with an apple watch. Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) Senior Assistant Laboratory Manager Rosmawati binti Ariffin won the third prize and took home a JBL portable speaker. Faculty of Business and Finance (FBF) Master of Philosophy postgraduate student Iddrisu Mohammed Awal and Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FAS) Psychology student Tan Kok Wei won the fifth prize and walked away with AEON Shopping vouchers worth RM100 each.

The SAGE Journals 2020 quiz competition was open to students, staff and faculty members of several public and private universities in Malaysia, namely Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), UCSI University, UTAR and Sunway University. The winners were selected and chosen by SAGE Publishing’s judges. The UTAR winners collected their prizes at UTAR Mary KUOK Pick Hoo Library.

Among the prizes provided by SAGE publishing include Apple Watch, Sony Wireless Headphones for two winners, JBL Portable Speaker for three winners, Canon Inkjet Printer for four winners and AEON shopping Vouchers worth RM100 each for 10 winners.
