Alumnus awarded Top Singapore Performer for ACCA AAA exam

Top Singapore Performer for ACCA AAA exam Lau U Hao

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Accounting graduate Lau U Hao was awarded the Top Singapore Performer for ACCA Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA) paper at the March 2021 exam session in Singapore.

“I am very grateful for this award. UTAR has provided a strong platform and incentives for the undergraduates to have early participation in ACCA, for instance, ACCA Accelerate Programme, UTAR-ACCA Scholarship and ACCA Preparatory and Revision classes.”

He added, “I am a believer that strategy is not the consequence of planning, but the opposite; it’s the starting point. So it is important that we start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and we will realise that we are doing the impossible.”

ACCA is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. It is the world’s most forward-thinking professional accountancy body. ACCA believes that accountancy is vital for economies to grow and prosper, which is why the professional accountancy body works all over the world to build the profession and make society fairer and more transparent. ACCA has more than 233,000 fully qualified members and 536,000 future members worldwide. They’re among the world’s best-qualified and most highly sought-after accountants and they work in every sector.
