In addition to receiving third place in the short video contest, Seah also received a certificate and a gift prize of €200. The title of his short video was “A person who loves the world”. He began by explaining circular economy and how to implement it. In the video, Seah emphasized the importance of reducing the use of plastics and straws as well as dump waste.

“I included the competition as part of the students’ coursework and elevated their interest by giving the assignments a theme or contest,” said FCI lecturer Foo Mei Lee.

The short films were judged by a jury of film experts and cresting researchers based on their creativity, originality, and power of social and environmental themes, potential influence on people and decision-makers, and professionalism.

The Cresting International Short Film Competition encouraged circular economy-themed and attention-grabbing videos to create socio-environmental awareness. The competition was open to everyone from all around the globe.
