Two students from UTAR received the OSK Foundation Scholarship Award 2021 at the award ceremony held on 25 January 2022 via Zoom.

The scholarship would assist the students in providing full tuition fees throughout their degree courses, as well as monthly living allowances in support of their financial needs. The students, however, are required to undergo a minimum of 20 hours of community volunteering service each semester for the purpose of character moulding.

The two students selected as the award recipients were Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Civil Engineering student Benjamin Loh Ze Min and Bachelor of Science (Honours) Quantity Surveying student Oscar Poh Ee Hong. The scholarships were presented to the students by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OSK Foundation Cheryl Ong. Also present were UTAR Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong, Department of Scholarships and Financial Aid Head Tan Wear Sim, representatives and recipients from other higher education institutions.

Funded by OSK Foundation, the philanthropic arm of OSK Group, the annual scholarship programme supports promising Malaysians who are pursuing their first-degree programmes. UTAR is one of its education partners for the programme.
