Congratulations to Ir Academician Emeritus Prof Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Chuah Hean Teik on being awarded the Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia (BIM) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was presented at BIM’s 50th Anniversary Celebration held at the Le Meridien Hotel, Petaling Jaya on 27 July 2022.

THE BIM Lifetime Achievement Award was mooted by the BIM as a form of recognition by BIM to members of the BIM who have, in their lifetime, made invaluable and outstanding contribution in their professions. BIM was set up with the assistance of the Commonwealth Foundation in the year 1973 to serve as the umbrella body for all professions recognised by the legislative Acts of Parliament in Malaysia. It is a non-discriminatory, non-political, non-religious and non-profit organisation which encourages the promotion of integrity, accountability, transparency and good governance in the professions.

The award was presented in conjunction with BIM’s 50th Anniversary Celebration by the Minister in Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed.

This is indeed another great honour for Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Chuah who was also recently awarded IEM Distinguished Honorary Fellow.
