In a survey conducted by Talentbank, UTAR was voted Top 3 in Graduate Employability (among private universities in Malaysia) for the year 2022. The survey studied the preferred recruitment choices of the leading graduate employers in Malaysia. Besides gauging the employability rate of graduates from universities all across Malaysia, the survey also aimed to highlight Malaysian universities that have produced the most highly sought-after graduates.

The National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index) was used as the benchmark to measure the employability of graduates of higher learning institutions in Malaysia. The GE Index, which was calculated using quantitative research methodology, was based on votes cast by employers, on aspects of graduate employability. The GE Index aims to give due recognition to higher educational institutions across Malaysia and to serve as a guide to school leavers and parents who are considering university options and wish to keep employability in mind.
