Recognised for providing high-quality education and its contributions to the local education field, UTAR was awarded the Outstanding Educational Institutions Award (杰出教育机构奖) at the Nanyang Education Award 2022 Presentation Ceremony and Gala Dinner on 15 October 2022 at Kinta Riverfront Hotel and Suites, Ipoh, Perak.

The award was presented by Senator Dato’ Dr Mah Hang Soon to UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat, who received the award on behalf of UTAR. Dato’ Mah was accompanied by CEO of Nanyang Siang Pau Low Hoong Fee and Perak State Manager of Nanyang Siang Pau Wong Pei Shi.
