Champion in Kuala Kuang Men’s Basketball Championship 2022

Fifteen students from UTAR were invited to participate in the Kuala Kuang Men’s Basketball Championship 2022, held from 2 August 2022 to 26 August 2022. Organised by Kuala Kuang Basketball Association at Kuala Kuang Basketball Court, the Championship saw the participation of eight teams from various districts in Perak.
The 15 students from the UTAR Team were led by Department of Student Affairs (Kampar Campus) Sports and Recreation Unit staff Adrin Yeap Wai Kuan. The team participated in the championship to prepare themselves for the annual University Basketball League and National MASISWA Basketball Championship.
At the competition, UTAR Team successfully advanced to the final playoff after defeating the Kuala Kuang home team in their semifinal playoff. On 26 August 2022, UTAR Team battled against Ipoh Team in the final playoff. Although it was a tough final playoff match, but UTAR Team managed to perform with great determination and fighting spirit, and finally emerged as Champion. Each player walked away with a medal.
