LKC FES lecturer wins consolation prize at PDTI Incentives Award

Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) academic Noor Azeera binti Abdul Aziz was awarded the consolation prize in the category of Outstanding Faculty Member under the PDTI Incentives Award. The category was determined by the number of training sessions attended, certifications obtained, and new pieces of industry knowledge that have been integrated or embedded. Noor Azeera received RM500 and a Cyber Security Professional certificate from Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).   

She said, “I’m grateful to receive this award. I would like to show my gratitude to MDEC for this recognition of my work and UTAR for giving me the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from the programme.” She also humbly thanked her colleagues, saying “Thank you so much to the LKC FES staff, especially to the head of department as well as the Department of Internet Engineering and Computer Science (DIECS) lecturers for always helping and sharing your knowledge with me. I hope we can always continue to improve ourselves to achieve our goals and further achieve the vision and mission of UTAR.”

Noor Azeera’s Cyber Security Professional certificate

The Cyber Security Professional certificate is a globally recognised certification in the information security market. The certificate is under The Convergence Certification and Skill Development Council (CCSD). It validates an information security professional’s deep technical and managerial knowledge and experience to effectively design, engineer, and manage the overall security posture of an organisation.
