Doctor of
Philosophy (Science) student Sue Har from Lee Kong Chian Faculty of
Engineering and Science (LKC FES) won the Best Presentation Award at the 4th
International Conference on Management, Education, Social Sciences and
Innovation 2023 (ICMESSI2023), organised by Asian Scholars Network (ASNet)
in Kuala Lumpur on 8 July 2023.
Supervised
by two academics from LKC FES Assoc Prof Ir Dr Liang Meng Suan and Dr Chan
Yuan Eng, Sue walked away with a certificate of achievement in recognition
of his paper titled “Causal effects of safety measure practices on safety
performance and project performance”. The paper was also co-authored by Dr
Chan and Dr Liang.
The
participants were required to present their papers from home by delivering a
10 to 15-minute pre-recorded video and presentation slides. The video was
posted on the YouTube channel on the conference day.
The
objective of the multidisciplinary conference was to put together leading
academicians, scholars and researchers to share their knowledge and new
ideas, as well as, discuss current development in their respective fields.
Besides, the conference also aimed at providing opportunities for academics
and industry experts to meet and interact with local and international
participants.
Feeling
grateful Sue said, “The successful attainment of this research article
presentation award owes a substantial debt to UTAR’s highly accessible
online resources. These resources were instrumental in ensuring the
achievement of the award.”
