Lee Hong Yuan’s award-winning artwork was titled “Second Life of Second-Hand Things”. He explained, “The artwork’s characters are present in Cubism art style, holding a box called ‘Hope’ with different religions and genders. The concept is based on a ‘buy nothing project’ with an Art Deco colour scheme.   It talks about sharing or donating things as a way to protect our environment. Each embodies unique personality traits such as Altruism, Compassion, Helpfulness, Patience, and Responsibility, and a final composite representation of myself that combines all these qualities.”

Lee Han Ying’s award-winning artwork was titled “A Celestial Journey with the Auspicious Rabbit and Cloud”. “I focused on the texture to make this artwork. I have always been interested in texture art because it makes a person want to touch it, and it feels more realistic in a way. This artwork is based on the story of Chang Er (嫦娥), rabbits that leap across celestial clouds to spread positivity. I painted the celestial clouds with thick paint. So, it has a gem-like appearance to make it feel magical and dynamic. As it is a celestial cloud, I imagined it to be colourful with vibrant hues,” described by Lee Han Ying.
