LKC FES academic selected as member of YSN-ASM

Assoc Prof Ir Dr Wong Jianhui from Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) was recently selected as a member of the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM).

Dr Wong enthused, “I am honoured to be part of the YSN-ASM. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity given by the ASM committee and the council. I would like to humbly contribute my expertise in the field of energy management to witness the growth of science and technology in the nation. I would like to take this opportunity to express my utmost gratitude to the University, my mentor, and my colleagues for all the support and guidance given.”

She also further explained, “The Young Scientists Network (YSN) under the auspices of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), plays a vital role in empowering science, technology, and innovation. The appointment of the young scientist network (YSN) membership is based on research excellence with a proven track record and participation in significant national or international collaborations. It is open to young Malaysian scientists that envisage making an impact on Malaysia’s society, science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.”

She added, “This platform gathers outstanding and enthusiastic young scientists from various disciplines including natural sciences, medicine and engineering. It provides an opportunity to foster national, international, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Aside from the research perspective, the platform provides the opportunity to engage in policy debate and strengthen science outreach in the country.”
