LKC FES graduate crowned as Best Student by BQSM

Recently, UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) graduate, Sim Yi Cheng, was awarded the Best Student Award by the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM).

In order to be eligible for the award, BQSM assigned three criteria to fulfil. In essence, students need sufficient academic achievements, non-academic achievements and other achievements, such as a good discipline record. In Sim’s case, UTAR Department of Surveying recommended him based on the criteria set by BQSM. Based on his overall 17 project submissions to BQSM under both the Quantity Surveying diploma and degree programmes, Sim secured the Best Student Award under the Bachelor Degree Programme category.
