LKC FES staff and student win Anugerah Kajian BIM Terbaik

UTAR is elated to announce the remarkable achievements of its two members at the Anugerah Kajian BIM Terbaik 2023. Both recipients earned esteemed recognition for their outstanding contributions in the area of Building Information Modelling (BIM).

LKC FES Specialist I and PhD student Ir Ts Wong Chee Fui won third place for his research titled “Company Readiness to Adopt BIM in Malaysia” under Kajian BIM (Akademik) – Kategori lepasan ijazah (Postgraduate category). He was guided by an esteemed team of supervisors, namely Ir Ts Dr Lau See Hung, Ir Ts Dr Tan Ooi Kuan and Assoc Prof Ir Ts Dr Jeffrey Yap Boon Hui from LKC FES.

LKC FES student Liew Yee Cheng was also awarded third place at Anugerah BIM JKR 2023 under Kajian BIM (Akademik) - Kategori (Undergraduate category). Her research project was titled “Building Information Modelling (BIM) application in industrialised building system (IBS) in Malaysia”. The research was supervised by Mr Leong Chung Sum.

They received their awards at the 5th JKR BIM DAY 2023, held on 25 October 2023 at the Sime Darby Convention Centre. They walked away with a certificate, cash prize and trophy each. Anugerah BIM JKR is a highly regarded event in the field of BIM, recognising outstanding achievements and research in the area of Building Information Modelling.
