Ms Kong Jee Kim, CFS Head of Science and Engineering Department, conducted two training sessions to brief and guide the students on the scope of coverage for the competition. During these sessions, which lasted for two hours each, various problems and questions related to the competition were discussed and addressed. The purpose of these training sessions was to prepare the students and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills for the competition.

During the competition, students were instructed not to access any devices. This rule was put in place to ensure a fair and unbiased environment for all participants. Additionally, it is important to note that no pictures were taken during the event. This was done to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the competition.

The Beaver Computational Thinking Competition is a prestigious online-based informatics competition that is a part of the international Bebras effort. Bebras aims to promote interest in Information Technology, Informatics and Computational Thinking among students. As of 2022, nearly 2.8 million participants from more than 60 countries have participated in Beaver worldwide with 5,000 of them registered as participants from Malaysia.
