Favourite category winner at ASEAN BIM Competition 2023

Ir Ts Wong Chee Fui from Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) was announced as the winner of the Favourite Category of ASEAN BIM Competition 2023 at the CAFEO BIM SEMINAR 2023 ABCOM Winner Presentation Ceremony, held on 23 November 2023 at The Westin Hotel in Bali, Indonesia. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the 41st Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 41) and it was hosted by Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (PII).

Ir Ts Wong was awarded for his research titled “Malaysia Study on the Critical Factors to adopt Building Information Modelling”. He walked away with a certificate, trophy and USD300.

The award was presented by CAFEO41 ASEAN Engineers & Award Committee Ir Andi Taufan Marimba. A total of six juries from four ASEAN economies were present to review and judge the competition. Ir Ts Wong was selected among 38 project teams from three ASEAN economies. CAFEO aims to unite engineers and technical specialists in the area of BIM. It aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and strategic discussions among engineering professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders.
