UTAR Toastmasters Club shines at Toastmasters International 2024 District 51 Annual Conference

The UTAR Toastmasters Club has once again proven its spirit, securing notable achievements at the prestigious Toastmasters International 2024 District 51 Annual Conference. Held from 26 to 28 April 2024, at the esteemed Hotel Royal Signature on Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, this event brought together top speakers and leaders from across the district to celebrate excellence in communication and leadership.

Recognitions and Awards

President’s Distinguished Early Achiever Award

The UTAR Toastmasters Club clinched the coveted President’s Distinguished Early Achiever Award, a testament to their collective dedication and success. Achieving all 10 goals with distinction, this award highlights UTAR’s commitment to delivering quality education and fostering strong, capable leaders through effective training and administration.

Enthusiastic Club Award

Additionally, the UTAR Toastmasters Club was honoured with the Enthusiastic Club Award, recognising their outstanding teamwork, growth, and unwavering dedication to the Toastmasters mission. This accolade further highlights their commitment to nurturing a supportive environment where members thrive and excel.

Individual Awards

Distinguished Toastmaster

Dr Lim Chong Hooi, Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT) academic and a distinguished member of the club, received the highest honour in Toastmasters, the Distinguished Toastmaster award. This accolade acknowledges his mastery in both communication and leadership, setting a benchmark for excellence within the Toastmasters community.

Pathway Proficient Award

Dr Lim Chong Hooi also achieved proficiency in the Innovative Planning Pathway, demonstrating his adeptness in strategic planning and innovative thinking.

Meanwhile, FBF’s Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) Banking and Finance student, Toastmaster Moh Ridwan, was recognised for his commitment to personal development and proficiency in the Persuasive Influence Pathway, marking a significant milestone in his Toastmasters journey.

Triple Crown Winners

Three distinguished members of the UTAR Toastmasters Club earned the prestigious Triple Crown award:
