UTAR Advances in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025

UTAR has risen to new heights in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025, securing the #131 position—a remarkable jump of 29 places compared to the previous year. This climb reflects UTAR’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, particularly in areas like Employer Reputation, Citations per Paper, and International Research Network, all of which showed substantial improvement in the score.

In a further testament to its growing impact, UTAR now stands at #29 in the QS World University Rankings by Region: South-Eastern Asia 2025, advancing by 9 ranks from last year. This progress underscores UTAR’s dedication to continuous growth and strengthening its role in the higher education landscape.

This year’s edition of QS World University Rankings: Asia included 25 locations in Asia with 984 published institutions. As the most widely read university rankings in the world, QS is a leading authority on institutional performance. Delivering comprehensive evaluations for more than 20 years, QS rankings are respected by students, institutions and employers worldwide. The QS Asia Rankings spotlight and celebrate the region’s leading higher education institutions: those that excelin research, teaching and real-world impact, measured using eleven indicators.
