The Sungai Long Frisbee team, STOMP, delivered a spirited and commendable performance at the NightWolves Invitational Throwdown Event (NITE) 2025, held on 14 June 2025 at Arena UTM, Johor Bahru. Organised by the UTM Johor Bahru Frisbee Club, the tournament served as a platform to promote Ultimate Frisbee as a growing sport in Malaysia while bringing together teams from across the country for a day of exciting competition.
Represented by a dedicated team of 15 athletes comprising nine male and six female players, STOMP took to the field with energy, skill, and determination. The team began their campaign strongly in the group stage, registering convincing victories against SMK Bukit Pasir A with a score of 13–1, and NightWolves Ultimate with a 10–6 win. These wins secured STOMP the top spot in their group and advanced them to the semifinal stage of the tournament.
In the semifinal match, STOMP faced Dengkis Ultimate in a 40-minute showdown. Demonstrating excellent teamwork and game strategy, STOMP emerged victorious with a resounding 15–1 score. With this win, the team advanced to the final match, where they battled Tanjak Ultimate in a closely contested game. Despite giving their all and putting up a strong fight, STOMP narrowly missed the championship title, concluding the match with a 10–14 loss.
This second-place finish marked a significant achievement for STOMP. The players displayed great adaptability, resilience and determination in every match. Their performance throughout the tournament reflected not only their technical ability but also their strong team spirit and dedication.
