UTAR students shine in Kembara Bijak Wang 2025 competition

A total of 19 UTAR students, forming four teams from various programmes, emerged as the Top 20 finalists in the prestigious Kembara Bijak Wang 2025 competition, held at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam Campus from 19 to 20 September 2025. The event, organised by Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK), HSBC Bank, and UiTM Puncak Alam, attracted over 10,000 students from 17 higher learning institutions nationwide.

Under the guidance of Mr Chong Tun Pin, Head of the Department of Banking and Risk Management, and Pn Nik Nuraisyah binti Nik Azmi, the UTAR teams excelled throughout the competition. Their exceptional performance saw all four teams emerge as prize winners among the Top 20 finalists. One team clinched second place, winning a cash prize of RM3,000, while the remaining teams secured fourth and sixth places (RM600 each) and 15th place (RM300).

Reflecting on the achievement, Mr Chong Tun Pin said, “We are extremely proud of our students’ performance in Kembara Bijak Wang 2025. Their success demonstrates not only strong financial literacy and teamwork skills but also their ability to apply knowledge from the classroom to real-world challenges. This achievement highlights UTAR’s commitment to nurturing competent and confident graduates ready to excel in national and global platforms.”
