UTAR wins Bronze at Putra Brand Awards 2025

UTAR clinched the Bronze Award in the Education and Learning category at the Putra Brand Awards 2025, reaffirming the University’s strong brand credibility and the public’s trust in its role as a leading higher education institution in Malaysia.

The award presentation ceremony was held at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on 23 January 2025. UTAR President Ir Prof Dato’ Dr Ewe Hong Tat was present to receive the award, accompanied by Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Ir Prof Dr Goi Bok Min, Vice President for R&D and Commercialisation Prof Dr Zuraidah binti Abd Manaf, Dean of the Institute of International Education and Director of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Centre, ODL Assoc Prof Ir Dr Lim Jee Hock and Director of Division of Programme Promotion and Head of STEAM Outreach Dr Ong Kiah Ju.             

The Putra Brand Awards, established in 2010 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) in association with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB), serves as a benchmark for brand excellence in the country. The Putra Brand Awards are endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and supported by the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), the Media Specialists Association (MSA), and the Malaysian Digital Association (MDA).

The recognition reflects UTAR’s continued commitment to delivering quality, accessible and industry-relevant education, while nurturing holistic graduates equipped with strong academic foundations, practical skills and ethical values. UTAR remains dedicated to producing future-ready talents who contribute meaningfully to national and global development.
