On 28 April 2009, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) opened its doors to
welcome the presence of five senior officials from Hunan Normal University
(HNNU), Changsha , Hunan , China for a friendly visit.
HNNU is a partner university of UTAR and had previously inked a Memorandum
of Understanding (MoU) with UTAR last year. Both universities discussed
plans to collaborate in the areas of teaching, scientific research, student
and staff exchanges, internship arrangements and credit transfer programmes.
The HNNU team led by their President, Prof. Liu Xiangrong, visited UTAR
Perak Campus and UTAR Petaling Jaya Campus. During their visit, the team
toured the UTAR Perak Campus. At Petaling Jaya Campus, they also met with
UTAR President, Ir. Professor Dato' Dr. Chuah Hean Teik and other UTAR
senior officials.
