A delegate from the King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok
(KMUTNB), Deputy Dean for International and Special Affairs of College of
Industrial Technology, Dr Rattanakorn Phadungthin visited UTAR Perak Campus
on 12 May 2014. UTAR and KMUTNB signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) via
correspondence on 1 August 2012.
On hand to welcome her was the UTAR team which comprised UTAR’s Faculty of
Arts and Social Science (FAS) Dean Dr Cheah Phaik Kin, Dean of Faculty of
Engineering and Green Technology Dr Yap Vooi Voon, Dean of Faculty of
Business and Finance Prof Dr Choong Chee Keong, FAS Deputy Dean for R&D and
Postgraduate Dr Priscilla Moses, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Science Dr Tee
Chong Siang, FAS Head of Programme from the Department of Advertising Puan
Ida Puteri Bt Mahsan, FAS Head of Programme from the Department of Languages
and Linguistics Dr Gerard Sagaya Raj, Head of Centre for Extension Education
for Perak Campus Mohd Faizul Bin Ahmad and Division of Community and
International Networking Assistant Manager Olive Choong Mee Yan.
Both parties exchanged ideas on the possible collaborative area such as
industrial training for students, staff and students’ exchanges, academic
activities, post-graduate programmes and joint research arrangements in the
future. In expressing keenness to co-operate in the areas of mutual benefit,
Dr Rattanakorn also added that KMUTNB is very proud to partner with UTAR.
After the sessions on souvenir presentation of souvenir and group
photography, Dr Rattanakorn toured the campus and the research facilities in
the Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology.
