Students consulting with the recruiters
The Department of Alumni Relations and Placement organised the UTAR Career
Day 2015 at the Multi-purpose Hall in Sungai Long Campus on 5 August 2015.
This event was organised specially for final year students and alumni.
The main objective of this event was to enhance students' employability and
career prospects through the opportunity of walk-in interviews with the
participating companies. It also functioned to help final year students win
internships and permitted other students a glimpse into their dream jobs.
The hall was a hive of activity as students swarmed the booths on the
lookout for the best opportunities.

“UTAR Career Day was bigger this time. And this time there were a lot more
options for engineering courses which was good since I’m graduating this
year,” said Mah Siew Hoe from Chemical Engineering.
Nicky Chan Yin Ziet and Goh Wen Hui from Financial Mathematics also agreed
with the statement, saying “It was larger and better compared to the
previous time. Since we have already completed our internships, we came to
look and prepare for our future jobs.”
Mechatronics Engineering student Aaron Lui Teng Wei said, “This time it was
more relevant to my course and training, plus they provided the booklet
which contained information on the companies which made it easier for us to
choose the best fit.”
There were 78 companies which participated, including Jobstreet, CIMB Bank,
Public Bank, Genting Group, Eco World Development Group, and OPPO
Electronics.
