In his speech, Prof Chuah said, “Our alumni are an important part of the
university. I am very proud of how UTAR has developed in the short period of
time and how the alumni have contributed to the society, at home and abroad.
It brings me great pleasure to hear great things about our alumni and how
well they are doing in the industry.” He added that UTAR currently has more
than 40,000 alumni and this alone is indication of how fast the university
has grown since 2002.
UTAR Alumni Association President Koh Foon Huat encouraged the alumni to
participate in more alumni related events to promote UTAR’s affordable and
quality education so that others can also enjoy the benefits they received
as students of UTAR.
Prof. Chuah also took the opportunity to update the alumni on the recent
developments in UTAR especially on the new Sungai Long campus.
