Flagging off for
women
More than 700
participants showed up for UTAR Trekathon 2015 held at Taman Wetland,
Putrajaya on 15 November 2015.
The annual run
was well received by all students, alumni, and external parties. The number
of participants has been steadily climbing since 2012, with the turnout in
2013 and 2014 being more than 500 and more than 650 respectively.

With the
assistance of the Department of Alumni relations & Placement (DARP), a new
category was created for competitors from the corporate institutions of
various industries that partner with UTAR.
Entertaining the
runners were performances by dance troupes, UTAR Wushu Club, and our 24
Festive Drum Team.

The run also
acts as a fundraiser for UTAR’s Sports Exchange Programme, an exchange of
cultures through sports with other institutions of higher learning in the
region.
