UTAR-JACTIM Career Fair 2015

The 2015 UTAR-Japanese Chamber of Trade and Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM) Career Fair was held at UTAR Sungai Long Campus on 23 June 2015.

Jointly organised by UTAR Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP) and JACTIM, the career fair has been annually for the fourth time since 2012. This time, the fair was held at Sungai Long Campus’s newly built Multipurpose Hall for the first time.

UTAR-JACTIM Career Fair aims to provide employment opportunities for the matching of jobs and training programmes between employers, UTAR students and alumni.

This year, 10 Malaysia-based Japanese companies, namely Sharp Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Toray Group (Malaysia), UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, Fujitsu Systems Global Solutions Sdn Bhd, Tohken (M) Sdn Bhd, Tateyama Auto Machine Co (M) Sdn Bhd, KYB-UMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Rohm-Wako Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd took part in the fair. The annual career fair also saw an encouraging turnout of over 470 students patronising booths to collect corporate information about the potential employers, skills requirements, employment benefits and other related employment details.

JACTIM, formed in 1983, was established with the objective of promoting economic relations between Malaysia and Japan, in the areas of international trading, commerce, industry and investment, as well as with the aim of protecting the interests of Japanese companies and promoting mutual friendship and social interaction among member companies.
