An “Experimental Film Screening and Talk” by Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film, Video and Music Festival (KLEX) Curator Kok Siew Wai was organised by the Centre for Immersive Technology and Creativity (CITC), Multimedia Division (MD) on 3 November 2015 in the Game Room of UTAR Sungai Long Campus.

This event included a dialogue session on why experimental film is important in contemporary culture and creative practices. The “Experimental Film Screening and Talk” was aimed at creating interest among the participants on experimental indie film-making and received good responses from Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI) students, particularly from the Department of Multimedia and Digital Animation (DMDA). The event also served to stimulate the participants' interest and appreciation of the practices in indie film industry.

“Find something you're passionate about and keep building up your interest in film making,” said Kok. She also advised the audience, “Keep on searching for the real you.” Through participating in the screening and talk, FCI students of DMDA managed to broaden their horizons with a better understanding of the various aspects found in experimental indie film-making.
