Lee sharing DPP’s services to international students

“Besides the Department of International Student Services (DISS), you can head over to the Department of Programme Promotion (DPP) if you need assistance on various courses and programmes. DPP will provide counselling to explore your personality and find courses that could suit you. As part of UTAR’s globalisation strategy, we also offer discounts on your tuition fees if you can refer potential students from your country,” said DPP Director Alex Lee.

Faculty of Medical and Health Science Associate Professor Dr Robert Chen was also invited to advise students to take health precautions against dengue fever. “Symptoms include fever, intense headache, body aches, joint pains, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, skin rashes and mucosal bleeding. In fact, dengue fever can turn severe enough to lead to death,” he said.

Dr Chen also recommended students wear long-sleeves and long pants, use mosquito nets while sleeping, avoid visiting areas prone to mosquitoes, and prevent mosquito breeding inside and outside of their homes.
