UTAR Career Day July 2016, organised by the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement specially for graduating students and alumni, was held at the Multi-purpose Hall in Sungai Long Campus on 27 July 2016.

The main purpose of this event was to provide an opportunity for students to explore possible future career paths and gather insight into the specific requirements, job responsibilities, and unique experiences associated with each profession. It also aimed to serve as a career counselling session for the young job seekers.  Final year students benefited from the career day by submitting their resumes to attain internship opportunities.

Ong Hui Shi from the International Business programme said, “There are so many large companies at this career day and I managed to clearer picture my future career path by talking to those large companies. They did not just give me information on the job responsibilities, but also offered me tests to explore my own interests.”

Applied Mathematics with Computing student Chua Khang Hui said, “I am in the final semester for my degree programme, and this is the best place for me to look for a job. I was able to learn more about the companies’ backgrounds and I got interested with a few companies through the sharing sessions.”
