Yichun University’s delegates
discussing possible collaboration with UTAR representatives
Prof Xiao said, “Yichun University is located at
Yichun City, which has acquired the honour of ‘National Model City for
Greening’ in China. Yichun University is dedicated to fostering high quality
and creative graduates with applied training and interdisciplinary exposure.
Besides that, Yichun University also maintains good relationships with
several universities internationally. The main purpose of our visit is to
gain knowledge on UTAR and to understand the development and integration of
the Malaysian higher education sector. Likewise, we wish to build a
partnership with UTAR and at the same time provide a better educational
environment to students by expanding opportunities for exchange programmes,
credit recognition, and double degree programmes.”
Prof Lee expressed his warmest welcome and
gratitude to the visitors and looked forward to more possible collaborations
with Yichun University in the future. He said, “UTAR provides a number
of courses that cover several fields of study, and for students from China
the Institute of Chinese Studies should be their first choice. I hope that
future collaborations with Yichun University will achieve a win-win
situation and bring many benefits to the students.”
