FHMS wishing everyone a prosperous New Year
Year Four MBBS students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
held an annual Chinese New Year Celebration on 19 February 2016 at UTAR
Sungai Long Campus. The gathering aimed to foster stronger relationships
between staff and students of the faculty in conjunction with the festive
season.

All the guests and students were invited to toss yee
sang, a Chinese tradition that ushers good fortune into our
lives. The gathering also showcased the students’ hidden talents in music,
acting, and dance.

The guests also play a game inspired by Chap
Goh Mei, which required all female participants to write their
phone numbers on oranges. The oranges were then collected and placed into a
“pool” filled with water. Three lucky male participants were selected and
were called on stage to get one orange each. Next, participants were
required to call the phone number written on the orange. The lucky females
were invited to the stage to play a mini game with the male counterparts.
This event was organised by FMHS Year Four Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) students.
