Eight students were appointed to form the second batch of UTARambassadors for Sungai Long Campus on 29 February 2016.

The newly appointed UTARambassadors consist of Armand Ross Ocampo Soriano, Ho Zi Qi, Keng Xian Bin, Lee Jin Sheng, Loh Xue Wei, Ng Khai Ee, Ng Wei Quan, and Wong Ming Meen. UTAR Vice-President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Assoc Prof Dr Teh Chee Seng presented the letter of appointment and badge to the ambassadors on 7 March 2016 at the presentation ceremony.

UTARambassadors are exposed to various opportunities that enhance personal and professional development in areas such as interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Aside from that, UTARambassadors are given the opportunity to network and learn from a diverse group of experienced staff.

These passionate and enthusiastic individuals represent UTAR at events on and off campus while bridging the gap between UTAR and the public, especially by interacting with and providing information to prospective students and their parents.

When asked about their opinions on being appointed to the second batch of UTARambassadors, the students replied that they were enthusiastic to be appointed as UTARambassadors and are proud to represent UTAR.
