Yee Ven, a student majoring in Actuarial Science, found RM350 on the floor
at the Level 5 concourse area while she was on her way to class.
Commendably, she quickly surrendered it the Department of Safety and
Security.
“It
never crossed my mind to keep the money; It’s not mine to keep,” Hiew said.
Vice-President for Student Development and Alumni Relations Dr Teh Chee Seng
presented a letter of appreciation and gratitude to Hiew to acknowledge her
honesty and thoughtfulness in taking immediate action to return the money as
soon as she found it.
“Such
honesty should be praised; Hiew is a good role model to everyone. I hope
that students will emulate such kind deeds which benefits not only us, but
the community as well,” remarked Dr Teh.
