Sin Chew Media Corporation
Berhad’s e-paper and Pocketimes crews visited UTAR Sungai Long and Kampar
Campuses on 11 March and 12 March 2016 respectively, in search of talented
star VJs.
The VJ Search roadshow at UTAR Sungai Long Campus
saw the presence of UTAR Vice-President for Internationalisation and
Academic Development Prof Ir Dr Ewe Hong Tat, Sin Chew Deputy Executive
Editor-in-Chief Chen Yoke Lin, and representatives from Sin Chew Media Corp
and Media Chinese International LTD. There were more than 1,000 participants
in total, comprising members of UTAR, schools, and the public.
More excitingly, the invited guests of the
roadshow were best-selling writer and speaker Liu Xuan, and travel writer
and broadcaster Hsieh Che-ching, both hailing from Taiwan. After sharing
their experience in the media industry in an hour dialogue session, the
roadshow ended with a book signing by the two inspiring writers and
speakers.
