Students with recruiters
Over 700 students turned up for the UTAR Career Day held at Sungai Long Campus on 30 March 2017. The event aimed to connect final-year students to their potential employers for future career opportunities.
“This event provided a channel for various companies to get the attention of and hire highly qualified candidates from UTAR. In addition, this event also acts as a platform for students to enhance student’s communication and job interview skills, as they are crucial for their careers,” said Department of Alumni Relations and Placement’s (DARP) Lee Wan Poh.
“UTAR graduates and students have always performed excellently during their employment and internship. We are very excited to be here seeking new talents to begin their careers as a mechanical engineer, technical engineer or an electrical engineer with us,” said Loh Kah Heng, a recruiter from Toray Industries Sdn Bhd.
Recruiters from Top Glove
Another recruiter Sabii Lim Xin Rou, from Top Glove said, “UTAR students have a strong idea of what job they are looking for. The number of students participated in this career fair were actually somewhat less than last year, and we’re hoping more in the next time.”
There were 77 companies took part in this event, including Coca-Cola Bottles Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Panasonic Malaysia, Public Bank, Maybank, CIMB, Top Glove, Eco World Development Group Berhad, and S P Setia Bhd Group.
The UTAR Career Day March 2017 was organised by the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP).
