Speaking at the opening ceremony, Wong said, “First of all, I would like to thank the sponsors, Fair Park Hotel, De Craon and many more for making this event possible. I am proud to announce that Vintake’s committee team is continuing the legacy of Photography Society’s annual exhibition with a little vintage flavour into it.” Wong, a Public Relations student, ended her speech by welcoming everyone to the “Vintakes Photography Exhibition 2017”.

In his speech, Jun Hao gave his thanks to UTAR for being an educational platform for students to learn about photography through the exhibition, and the organising committee for their hard work that renders the event successful.
“The theme of this exhibition focuses on vintage photography, hence the title "Vintakes". It is a combination of the words "vintage" and "takes", which mean moments taken with a vintage feel,” explained the Accountingstudent.
He enthused that the exhibition not only provided a platform for the students to share their photography talents and works but also to encourage them to take up a more meaningful and healthy activity by participating in the photography, social and co-curriculum activities.
