MoU with TusSpace

Delegates from the “Belt & Road” Science and Technology Industries visiting UTAR

A group of visitors from the “Belt & Road” Science and Technology Industries (“一带一路”科技行) visited Sungai Long Campus on 13 December 2017. In conjunction with the visit, Suzhou TusSpace Investment Management Co., Ltd. (TusSpace) and UTAR also exchanged a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

Tus-Holdings Co.,Ltd. Deputy Managing Director Jason Yu Haitao led the group consisting of representatives from “Belt & Road” Science and Technology Industries. The delegates were from ZhongZhi Gathered Investment Consulting Co., Ltd., Shanghai CiGu Business Consulting Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Fundwin Incubator Management Co., Ltd., Rice Microelectronics Inc., TRAD Animation China (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., MAYA HORIZON (SUZHOU) Culture And Technology Co., Ltd., SUZHOU TRANS ELEVATOR Co., Ltd., HS UAVs Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Chain Capital.

Welcoming the visitors were UTAR Vice President for Internationalisation and Academic Development Prof Ir Dr Ewe Hong Tat, Division of Community and International Networking Director Prof Dr Cheng Ming Yu, and representatives from the Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science, Centre for Communication Systems and Networks, Faculty of Accountancy and Management, Faculty of Creative Industries, and Department of Consultancy and Commercialisation.

The main objective of the visit was to explore various collaborative opportunities and strengthen cooperation between both parties. In view of the objective, the MoU aimed to support growth in the information and communication technology industry in Malaysia and China through various programmes, projects and activities. Besides, it was also set to facilitate students exchange and internship as well as to establish a platform for entrepreneurs from both parties to communicate and further interact.

Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd. was set up on 24 July 2000 and is the former Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark) Development Center founded in August 1994.
