HME delegates with UTAR lecturers and students
Hunan Mango Entertainment Co Ltd (HME) delegates visited UTAR Sungai
Long Campus on 26 October 2017.

Prof Ir Dr Ewe Hong Tat expressed his gratitude for their visit and
said, “UTAR is currently having the collaboration with more than 40
China Universities. We hope to provide a comprehensive international
exposure for our students. Besides the collaboration, we also provided
the students with internship and student exchange opportunity to ensure
that they benefit from the collaboration.”
HME Deputy CEO Wang Pingbo thanked Prof Ewe for his warmest welcome and
said, “Hunan Broadcasting System Company (HBS) is a television network
that emphasises on the talents training. We believe that talents will be
the one who runs the company to a higher level. So, I truly hope that
our collaboration with UTAR will bring in more talents to HBS and bring
more benefits to UTAR students.”
Deputy CEO Wang also conducted a seminar on “Entertainment media
development and future in China” right after his meeting with the UTAR
representatives. During the seminar, he shared his experience in the
telebroadcasting industry and said, “HME set up an office in Malaysia to
connect headquarter in China with the affairs in Malaysia as well as to
improve the collaboration between HME and Malaysian filming industry
including producing more quality television programmes or movies in
Malaysia. With a very open-minded platform, we will increase our
collaboration and adjust it along the way to ensure it creates a win-win
situation.”
“HME and UTAR will strategically collaborate in a long-term period and
work closely to form a strategic collaborative alliance. Recent years,
the partnership between Malaysia and China is increasing in a very fast
pathway. So, I believe UTAR will nominate high-quality students and send
to HME to carry out training and internship, in order to nurture and
cultivate the emerging talents in the area of media in Malaysia and
China,” he added.
As an effort to vigorously materialise and propel the Belt and Road
Initiatives, to facilitate the friendly interaction between people of
Malaysia and China and to strengthen the cooperation in the areas of
economic and trading, tourism, culture and education between two
economies, HME signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 27 October
2017 to form strategic collaboration in the areas of culture, media and
broadcasting as well as education, to fully utilise the resources of the
two parties for the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiatives.
Hunan Mango Entertainment Co Ltd is a professional entertainment and
media corporation under the Hunan Broadcasting System. It possesses
powerful media platform and capability for the production of movie,
television and cultural content. It has rich experiences in organising,
promoting and implementing large-scale cultural events and cultural
tourism programmes. In these recent years, it has successfully organised
few cross-borders major cultural events.
