Students consulting the recruiters
The Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP) organised UTAR Career Day at Multipurpose Hall in Sungai Long Campus on 4 July 2018. The event was organised specially for graduating students and alumni.
The event aimed to expose the students to their potential recruiters and prepare them better for the walk-in interviews. It also helped the students to understand the needs and wants of the industry. For instance, students tend to spend their efforts on scoring higher CGPA but often neglected the importance of social, communication and presentation skills which are mostly demanded by employers these days.

When asked of the reason for exhibiting at UTAR, Tan Xin Ci from Zhongji Construction said, “Due to UTAR’s high popularity and reputation, it is easier to reach out to talented candidates. We are looking for determined, self-motivated, hard-working and multi-tasking candidates. UTAR students are extraordinary, self-motivated and have solid foundation in their field of study.”
