Speaking at the ceremony, Prof Yow said, “We are glad to have this opportunity to continue this collaborative partnership with THU after the third signing. This is the fourth time that we have come together for better collaboration. Looking back, I hope we can find out any weaknesses that we have encountered and improve from time to time. I believe with today’s signing, we can widen our collaboration area.”

Thanking UTAR for the warm welcome and great hospitality, Prof Mao said, “We are grateful and honoured to be here today. Although we had been collaborating from the year 2010 till now, this is only my second time being here at UTAR. I remember I was here at UTAR for the first time when I was invited to attend the UTAR convocation in the year 2017. I am very impressed with the quality and excellent education that UTAR offers its students and collaborative partners. UTAR has been growing rapidly and has been doing well in the education industry. I am looking forward to having more rooms for collaboration and also improvement this time. THU is currently eyeing on artificial intelligence (AI), and I am aware that UTAR has been doing great research and therefore has good experience in this field. I am hoping that this time we can work together to research on AI and help the environment.”

The signing ceremony ended with a souvenir exchange between Prof Yow and Prof Mao, followed by a group photography session.
