Datuk Yeoh, on the other hand, was invited to give an inspiring speech for the students. He said, “I believe that different people have different motivation to study at the university. Whatever motivation you have, there is no doubt that you work hard to get into the medical school.” He added, “Putting on a white coat symbolises your transition from a layman into a medical profession. It is a symbol of authority and cleanliness. It will always remind you to remain humble and respect your colleague and the other staff who work at the hospital.”

He also shared his experience of being an MBBS student and other life stories. He said, “Students should be able to apply what they have learned in the first year. Today’s generation is blessed with advanced technology compared to mine. So, they should make use of it to widen their overall knowledge.”
