The visit was a great opportunity for YZU delegates and UTAR representatives to discuss the possible collaborations in areas of mutual interest. During the meeting, Prof Ewe gave a brief introduction of the University and proposed some collaboration opportunities such as short-term mutual exchanges of staff and students, research activities and English courses. He expressed his willingness to have a closer partnership with YZU in wider areas, with more involvement from faculties and research centres in search of greater academic excellence. He believes that constant communication between the two varsities would generate more fruitful outcomes. He also suggested distance learning via the internet, making it possible for students to discuss and exchange knowledge with each other regardless of their time zone and location.

Xu, on the other hand, stated that UTAR corporate video has provided them with a deeper understanding of the University. Noting that both varsities are comprehensive universities with a dedication to achieve educational excellence, she looks forward to having a fruitful collaboration with UTAR to ultimately benefit both students and academicians.

UTAR and YZU enjoyed a close partnership since the MoU signing in 2015, which saw a number of collaborative activities such as student exchange programme and clinical posting taking place between the two universities.
