UTAR Askar Wataniah Club members participated in one of the most essential activities of its kind in the year 2020, namely Latihan Berterusan. The programme was conducted at Pusat Latihan Polis Seremban from 25 to 31 January 2020 by Kor Rejimen Semboyan Diraja (AW), Rejimen Semboyan Divisyen Ketiga Infantri. Aside from providing physical training, the programme also aimed to provide knowledge on the operation of military organisation.

During the opening ceremony, Commanding Officer Colonel Nik Nahar bin Nik Mohd Isa stressed on the importance of basic military knowledge, self-discipline as a soldier, patriotism to our beloved nation, mental and physical strength, and cultivation of team spirit. He also reminded the significance of accountability for task and duty when reserve army is needed. The ceremony, which marked the commencement of the year 2020 training, also saw eligible Askar Wataniah receiving medal awards and rank promotion as a sign of appreciation for their hard work throughout their service while at the same time consigning them to greater duty and responsibility.

According to UTAR participants, the one-week training helped them to step out of their comfort zone, offered the experience of being in the military and provided a cultural exchange opportunity.
